About Natasha “Tash”
I’m Tash Driedger (she/her); I’m a passionate helper who prioritizes fostering meaningful human connections rooted in acceptance and authenticity when helping others. My life’s work has gifted me countless opportunities to witness the ups and downs required to grow through life’s tribulations, and I am humbled each time someone allows me to be a safe space in their lives as they undertake these challenges.
Within the counseling space, you are welcomed to explore mindfulness as the truest version of yourself. In practice, this feels like welcoming the full spectrum of human emotions (the good, the bad, the ugly) to arise organically while exploring what thoughts, behaviors, and bodily sensations follow suit. My hope is to assist you in developing a fuller understanding of yourself across both your body and mind, so you can tackle whatever is ailing you with more confidence and self-awareness. By intermingling Gestalt and Cognitive Processing Therapy techniques, I aim to provide therapy that is both person-focused as well as evidenced-based. Additionally, I’ll often provide psychoeducation as I find it helps normalize mental health struggles and gives you a powerful knowledge base to help make meaningful, long lasting change.
My clinical interests mainly focus on trauma and the symptomatic difficulties that often follow traumatic experiences. Regardless of the cause of your suffering, I strive to help you develop a positive sense of self and to discover comfort in your body by using a variety of techniques that deepen the connection between mind and body. Together, we’ll explore techniques you can use outside of sessions, and we’ll practice the ones that you find most helpful; that way you always have an emotional first-aid kit when life is especially rocky.
Outside of counseling, I spend my time in hobbies that allow me to be outdoors like furthering my homestead garden, caring for my animals, hiking and paddleboarding, or simply laying in the grass with a good book and a furry friend. When Texas weather is less than ideal, I’m often exploring a museum, checking out a new film or concert, or in the kitchen cooking up my latest concoction. To lean into creativity, I enjoy film photography, playing my guitar or ukulele, or getting lost in the depths of Spotify Discover Weekly.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and supervised by Dr. James Parker of DTA and Angel Koenig, LPC-S, of Mindful Counseling and Wellness. I see clients both in person and via telehealth.
